New Brush Creator panel and more standard image-editing tools The new systems will not form part of the core software, but will be available as paid add-ons. There are also three new particle systems – Linear, Elastic and Fuzzy (pictured above) – capable of generating a range of new effects discussed in this blog post. In Flame Painter 4, the existing Flame, Follow and Ribbon systems have been rewritten to increase user control, including the option to generate either an even fill or continuous or dotted lines. Paint digital images with an increased range of particle brushesįlame Painter enables users to create images by painting with particle-based brushes.Īlthough they are well suited to generating effects like glows and light trails, they can also be used to create a surprisingly wide range of illustrations and concept art. The new version is due to ship next week. You know our next lesson what we'll do is we'll be working on the lighting effects that are coming off of the perfume bottle.Originally posted on 1 June 2019. So let's just zoom out and see how we look. So we've got a nice flow, an elegant flow coming off of the perfume bottle which is good. Let's see if we can bring it up slightly. Leave it there and the same for this one. So let's open levels up, and let's just see if we can add a little bit of brightness to the layers. Let's just warp it and bring it round here to the mountain again slightly. And this one's quite faint, so, let's bring our opacity up. And let's just drag that across, Command or Control + T. And, let's maybe duplicate the layer, see how that looks. I want it to be quite subtle, so it looks as if it's just flowing but not too strong. And let's just paint out some of this, just see how it looks. And let's just paint out what we don't want. Let's bring the saturation up to about there. In fact, let's press colorize to make it all one color. So I'm gonna open the hue panel, and let's bring it across. I'm just gonna bend this around, like that. I'm gonna, while it's still on this selection, I'm gonna right click. All right, so let's make that slightly smaller again. In fact, let's make sure I've got it selected there. Let's right click and rasterize that and leave it in the scent group. I'm just gonna drag the PNG in, there you go, from the desktop. And I'm gonna choose PNG for that and see how it works. And let's go to the desktop, and let's just save that as flame 1. So I'm gonna go ahead now, and I'm gonna take away layer one. You wanna be able to hide layer one, and save that as an individual PNG. Bear in mind, you know you need to make sure you've got layer two selected. I'm just gonna create a really nice smooth effect, like that. But for the sake of the tutorial, I'm gonna stick with the second to last brush at the bottom of the panel. And, you can be really creative with this. You get some really nice, smooth effects, and we can just choose flame. Don't play with the settings too much, but this is the type of effect you get on flame painter. And I've got a whole host of different effects we can use. And it's called Flame Painter, so I'm just gonna go ahead and open Flame Painter. It works as a plug in or a software, stand alone software enabled for Mac and PC. To do that, I'd like to use a small plug in. What I'd like to do is create some flowing kind of pink scent effects that come off the bottle. Let's bring this one down slightly, just to bring out more of the scent overall. And if I want to drag it across to the right as well. Just gonna bring it across to that side there. And there, so you've got some in the middle. Just gonna hold down the Alt key and duplicate that. Now, what I'd like to do is go to our scent group, and here we have the scents we created earlier. Let's bring it up to bring out some of the highlight there. We'll fountain the seam back out slightly so we can see easier. Let's open the layers panel, and let's go to the last element of the mount we created there. What I'd like to do in continuation is just zoom in. Hey, this is Gavin from Tuts+, and in this lesson I'd like to continue adding some color and scent effect to the perfume bottle and the mountain.
